Wyndham Street Surfer
The Street Surfer Bus is a community initiative that targets young people and travels to locations where young people congregate.
The bus aims to intervene in the lives of these young individuals by introducing them to numerous services and recreational opportunities that are available within the Wyndham Municipality.
The Street Surfer Bus is effectively a Mobile Youth Centre that enables youth workers, police and volunteers to visit locations where young people congregate. The bus has been fitted out with gaming equipment, TV/DVD player, CD player & CDs, tea & coffee making facilites, sports equipment, BBQ and more.
The Street Surfer Bus is an exciting new community initiative that is specifically targeted at young people and travels to locations where young people who are involved in or tempted by risk taking behaviour congregate and attempts to make contact with these young people.
The project aims to intervene in the lives of these young individuals by introducing them to numerous services and recreational opportunities that are available for young people within the Wyndham area.
The Street Surfer bus is effectively a mobile youth centre that enables youth workers, police and volunteers to visit locations where young people congregate. The bus has been fitted out with computer game equipment, TV/DVD player, professional DJ sound system, tea and coffee making facilities, sport equipment and a BBQ.
